BIEDRONKA
Opened or refurbished over 500 stores. Inaugurated its 17th distribution centre, the company’s largest and most modern. The launch of a new app and Biedronka Home, an online non-food store, were major developments in the digital channel in 2022.
PINGO DOCE
The “Preço Trancado” (Locked Prices) campaign (freezing the prices of hundreds of food and non-food products) and “Zero Inflation” campaign were crucial in mitigating the impact of the high inflation rate in Portugal. The new My Pingo Doce app reinforced the company’s digital presence.
RECHEIO
The company made the most of an excellent tourism year in Portugal, opening a new store in Cascais (on the outskirts of Lisbon) with a concept focused on the HoReCa channel.
ARA
Reinforcing price leadership and opening 275 new stores (well above the initial target) led to a 60.5% increase in sales. The company has stores in over 300 of Colombia’s more than 1,100 municipalities.
HEBE
Digital transformation is one of company’s growth drivers, which saw significant investment in improving the customer experience. Online sales accounted for 14% of total sales. The opening of online stores in Czechia and Slovakia marks Hebe’s international expansion.
AGRIBUSINESS
Expansion of the aquaculture business, with the start of operations in Vila Real de Santo António (Portugal), which now has four operational units producing sea bass and sea bream. Acquisition of a 10.5% stake in Anfjord Salmon (Norway). Jerónimo Martins Agro-Alimentar operates in four areas: dairy; livestock farming (Angus cattle and sheep); aquaculture; and fruit and vegetables.
It was a year of strong sales growth in all the countries where we operate.
