It is thanks to the responsible way in which we manage our businesses that we are recognised for our environmental and social sustainability practices throughout the value chain. By the end of 2022, we were listed on more than 120 international sustainability indices.
PROMOTING GOOD HEALTH THROUGH FOOD
We strive to make quality, safe and affordable food available to our customers. In 2022, we again cut sugar, salt and fat from our products by changing recipes.
RESPECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Preserving biodiversity, fighting climate change and promoting a more circular economy are the priority areas for reducing the environmental impacts of our operations.
SOURCING RESPONSIBLY
We have far exceeded our commitment to source at least 80% of the food we sell from local suppliers, and nearly 10% of our Private Brand and perishable products already have sustainability certifications.
SUPPORTING SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES
We intensified our work with projects and institutions that support the more vulnerable groups in society: the elderly, children and young people in need.
BEING A BENCHMARK EMPLOYER
It is our duty to make a positive impact on the lives of each of our employees.
Our responsibility practices are recognised by independent bodies, proving that we make a difference for customers, suppliers, employees and communities.
