Pingo Doce

  • Four stars in GS1 Portugal’s Lean & Green initiative, having reduced carbon dioxide equivalent emissions in its logistics operations by 55% between 2018 and 2024.
  • The two central kitchens have received ISO 45001 certification, which ensures the highest standards of Occupational Health and Safety management.
  • Inclusive Employer Brand, awarded by the Portuguese Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), since 2023.
  • Recommended Brand in the “Supermarkets – Large Retail” segment by Consumer Trust.
  • Three stores in the north of Portugal distinguished with the 2025 Social Impact Award by the Municipality of Paredes.
  • Five distinctions in Effie Portugal 2025, an initiative from APAN (Portuguese Association of Advertisers) and APAP (Portuguese Association of Advertising, Communication and Marketing Agencies) that recognises the effectiveness of communication and marketing campaigns.

  • The Pingo Doce chia and mango pudding and the white jasmine Ultra stick air freshener were distinguished at the Private Label Manufacturers Association 2025 awards.
  • Pingo Doce chickpea cakes were distinguished as “Product of the Year – Innovation” at the Viver Saudável (Healthy Living) awards.
  • Private brand wines awarded with 24 medals in three international competitions in 2025.

  • Awarded first place in the Beauty category at the Polish Customer’s Choice Awards 2025.
  • Honoured with “The Service Quality Star 2025” in the customer satisfaction survey conducted through the jakoscobslugi.pl website by Polish Service Quality Programme, in cooperation with SecretClient®.
  • Received recognition for its social responsibility initiatives and the “Discover Yourself with Hebe” programme by Wiadomości Kosmetyczne in the “Drugstore of the Year 2025” awards.
  • Winner in the 6th edition of the Blix Awards “Consumers’ Choice 2025” in the “Promotion of the Year” category for drugstores.

  • International Featured Standard (IFS) Food v8 certification, since 2023.
  • ISO 45001:2019 SST (Occupational Health and Safety) certification, since 2022.
  • HALAL certification, since 2021.
  • ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) certification, since 2021.
  • Production of organic-based products, since 2021.
  • Welfair™ certified animal welfare approved, since 2020.
  • Two Lean & Green stars in Terra Alegre dairy factory due to more than 30% reduction in emissions (2024 compared to 2022).

Agri-livestock

  • Welfare Quality certification in animal well-being in the production of chicken (since 2022), sheep (since 2021), dairy cows (since 2021) and cattle fattening (since 2019).
  • Certified animal welfare approved in the prudent and responsible use of antibiotics for cattle fattening and milk production at the dairy farm, since 2020.
  • Certified antibiotic-free production of chickens (from hatching), since 2022, and since 2021 in cattle fattening (from weaning off).
  • Carbon footprint certification in the production of Aberdeen Angus beef (at the Cartaxo farm) and lamb.

Aquaculture

  • GlobalG.A.P. certification for the production of sea bream and sea bass in Madeira, Morocco and the Algarve.
  • International Featured Standard (IFS) certification for facilities in the Algarve and Morocco.
  • ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) certification in the Algarve.

  • GlobalG.A.P. certification, since 2023.
  • ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) certification since 2025.
  • International Featured Standard (IFS) certification of the packaging unit, since 2024.
  • Bio Suisse certification of the packaging unit, since 2024.

Other fruits

  • GlobalG.A.P. certification in the production of citrus, tango mandarins and stone fruit, since 2024, and on SPRING (Sustainable Program for Irrigation and Groundwater Use) since 2025.
